Please excuse the mess. I have not tidied the place up and there may not be much to see here, but I hope that will change shortly. How do you all do? Whether you remember me from a decade ago or you're new here, make yourself at home.

I've been trying to squeeze in some time each week to put up a quick sketch, but it's a lot harder than I thought! How do you guys do it?

Anyway, lately I've been following Allie's tweets. I really like her art. She draws a lot of cute creatures like this one:

It constantly surprises me that people still follow this account (or recently stumble upon it), despite having been abandoned for so many years, most of whom are fans of the Etherena or PPGD flash games. I loved making the games and I loved knowing that others enjoy playing the same games I do. (I played my own games to death!) I loved seeing people post Youtube videos of themselves playing the games. I've even noticed that someone had discovered how to perform an infinite juggle on PPGD by exploiting a bug in the juggle mechanics (I don't even remember how to do it anymore).

I feel like I owe a huge apology to all of my fans. I've been inactive to deal with my life and career and have found little time and motivation to update this account among other things. Even though I have detached myself from this community as well as that of Newgrounds, I have read nearly every comment written to me both positive and negative feedback. Your words mean a lot to me even if I chose not to respond to them.

This is not exactly an outlet to express my own being, but I am undoubtedly an introvert. I'm socially awkward and don't have many friends. Making games has been a great way to connect to other people. They can bring joy. They can bring frustration. Either way, I enjoy seeing everyone's reactions to them. While I may no longer pursue larger projects such as these relics of old, I am considering possibly working on smaller bite-sized projects. Maybe some quick art pieces (I have not drawn in such a long time...) or maybe some mini-games of sorts.

I've been very negative in the past. One of my goals is to set a positive outlook, so any project I take on from hereon out shall be adorned by a positive theme.

TL;DR

Sorry, guys. There will not be a sequel to Etherena or PPGD. (Please don't kill me.)
Thank you for your time, everyone.

Tutorial is here: www.harveycartel.org/metanet/t…

There was once a game called 'N' developed by Metanet.

Many of you may have already played it. And if you haven't, you can download it on this site: www.harveycartel.org/metanet/

They apparently provided an in-depth tutorial, complete with physics and math equations. They also provide a demo and sourcecode for the tutorials. A thorough tutorial it is, but I hope you have a lot of patience, because as far as I can tell, it's not for the uninitiated. I haven't seen the code yet though, but as many people wanted a tutorial as this kind of stuff, I thought I'd bring this up in my journal. So enjoy! (Or at least be amazed by their mathematical genius.)

A friend at school showed me something pretty interesting today.. www.pressthebuttons.com/2005/0…

Bastet (short for Bastard Tetris) is a spinoff of the all-too-popular Tetris games. Remember how angry you get when they don't give you the piece you need most? Bastet does its best to piss you off throughout the entire game. And it does work.. I only played a couple times, but my personal 'best' is 3 lines. Go figure.

If you have Linux / ncurses, you can download it from the author's page:
fph.altervista.org/prog/bastet…

Almost makes me want to make a flash version of it so everyone can get a feel of the frustration it boils up. :mwahaha: So evil.. and some people thought Shira Bell was hard.
